Overview
The Human Resources Intern provides administrative, operational, and project support across multiple teams within the People Strategies & Solutions department. This internship is designed for a student who has declared an interest in Human Resources or a related field and is seeking meaningful hands-on experience in a professional environment.
The intern will gain broad exposure to a variety of HR functions. Through collaboration with team members across the department, the intern will support initiatives and operational activities that contribute to the employee experience and overall success of the organization.
This role offers an opportunity to develop foundational Human Resources knowledge while building professional skills in communication, organization, collaboration, problem-solving, and project coordination. The intern will have opportunities to learn from and collaborate with professionals across multiple HR disciplines while gaining exposure to organizational operations and employee experience initiatives.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, eager to learn, and capable of balancing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. This role is intended to provide flexible, meaningful work experience for a student balancing academic and professional commitments.
This is a year-long internship with an anticipated start date ASAP. This position will be approximately 15-20 hours per week during the school semester for one year. 40 hours per week during the summer.
Responsibilities
Talent Team Administrative & Operational Support
- Provide administrative and coordination support across Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and other Talent functions.
- Assist with scheduling, communications, documentation, and workflow coordination for talent-related activities and programs.
- Support onboarding, training coordination, employee experience initiatives, and department operations.
- Help maintain records, internal resources, and process documentation.
- Assist with meeting logistics, event coordination, and team communications.
- Support day-to-day operational needs to help ensure efficient team processes and a positive employee experience.
DEIB Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging initiatives and programs.
- Assist with coordination of meetings, events, communications, and department materials.
- Support organization and preparation of resources related to DEIB efforts.
- Help support initiatives that contribute to an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture.
Total Rewards, Wellness & People Operations Support
- Provide administrative and operational support to Total Rewards, Wellness, and People Operations teams.
- Assist with reporting, workflow coordination, documentation, and employee program support.
- Support wellness initiatives, communications, events, and employee engagement activities that promote employee well-being.
- Help maintain employee records, resources, and internal information.
- Support compliance-related activities and department operational processes.
Department Projects & Other Duties as Assigned
- Participate in departmental and cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Assist with process improvement efforts, research, and administrative coordination.
- Support department events, communications, and operational initiatives as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support evolving business and team needs.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Currently pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
- Student should have completed several semesters of coursework and demonstrated an interest in Human Resources or people-focused work.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to stay organized and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to appropriately handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build positive working relationships across teams.
