Description
Job Position: Senior Lab Technician
Department: Quality
Main Responsibilities
Laboratory Operations, Testing and Reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely testing of raw materials, intermediate products, finished goods,
environmental swabs, air plates, chemical samples, and other business-critical samples in
line with Unilever standards and approved test methods.
• Manage day-to-day laboratory operations as per Good Laboratory Practices, including
media preparation, microbiological testing, chemical testing support, waste handling,
cleaning and disinfection of laboratory areas and equipment.
Compliance, Sampling and Continuous Improvement
• Follow sampling plans for raw material intake, intermediate products, finished goods,
environmental monitoring, air plates, and outsourced pathogen testing where applicable.
• Participate in HACCP validation and verification activities, peer reviews, laboratory SOP
updates, annual equipment calibration, stock control of laboratory consumables, RCA
investigations, lessons learned documentation, VIP project trials, sensory assessment,
chemical technician role rotation, and business-required testing support.
• Flexible to workday shift, overtime, and support third-party testing when required by
business needs.
