Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Security Screener in Kansas City, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help support a welcoming, orderly environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with employees and guests. You will remain visible, report security-related concerns, and help deter incidents through attentive service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-screening policies.
• Screen individuals, packages, and permitted items entering designated areas in accordance with established procedures, escalating prohibited or suspicious items and activities to appropriate personnel.
• Verify identification, visitor authorizations, and access credentials; maintain accurate visitor and screening-related records as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, business spaces, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
