Job Summary
Provide a People focused approach to Technology Leadership. Apply department/enterprise business knowledge to ensure value alignment. Accountable for the delivery and support of solutions and services that are technically and functionally solid, well integrated, comply with technical strategy, and meet or exceed Customer requirements.
As a Manager Technology – Content Supply Chain Omnichannel Infrastructure, Content Delivery & Innovation, you’ll lead the engineering capability that powers Southwest’s Content Supply Chain across cloud, CMS, platform engineering, integrations, DevOps, and digital experience technologies.
You’ll lead a multidisciplinary engineering pod responsible for building secure, scalable, and resilient platforms that support enterprise , digital experiences, eCommerce, and future omnichannel marketing experiences – including, but not limited to web, app/mobile, email, push and SMS. You’ll work across Adobe Experience Manager, Workfront, Fusion, AWS, APIs, microservices, and modern cloud-native technologies, connecting the platforms that move content from creation through activation and customer engagement.
A key part of this role will be shaping the next generation of Southwest’s MarTech technology foundation. You’ll help modernize legacy approaches, strengthen automation and continuous delivery, and explore how AI-assisted engineering and agentic capabilities can improve how content platforms are built, operated, and consumed.
Beyond technology, you’ll establish a strong engineering culture across India and US teams—setting scalable standards, developing talent, improving platform reliability, and ensuring engineering investments translate into faster delivery and better customer outcomes.

- Lead the engineering capability supporting Southwest’s Content Supply Chain omnichannel infrastructure, CMS (content delivery), cloud, platform, integration, and DevOps ecosystem.
- Own the technical delivery and evolution of platforms powering enterprise digital, eCommerce, and omnichannel marketing experiences.
- Architect and deliver secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-native solutions across AWS and related enterprise technologies.
- Lead engineering across Adobe AEM, CMS, Workfront, Fusion, and connected MarTech and digital experience platforms.
- Establish modern cloud and platform-engineering practices including containers, serverless architectures, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability, resiliency, and cost optimization.
- Drive API-first integration strategies using REST/GraphQL APIs, event-driven architectures, middleware, and microservices.
- Ensure reliable integration between Content Supply Chain platforms and broader digital and eCommerce enterprise systems.
- Lead modernization initiatives that improve platform scalability, developer productivity, release velocity, and operational reliability.
- Establish and continuously improve automated testing, continuous integration, continuous deployment, release management, and production-support practices.
- Define engineering standards for platform reliability, security, performance, quality, and maintainability.
- Apply automation and AI-assisted engineering practices to reduce manual effort and accelerate software delivery.
- Explore emerging agentic AI patterns and how content may increasingly be discovered, assembled, and delivered through agents rather than traditional software experiences.
- Knowledge of business/Leadership principals, including planning, organizing, directing, developing, and supervising
- Knowledge of personnel practices and regulations
- Knowledge of software development practices, concepts, methodologies, tools and trends
- Proficient knowledge of project management methodologies

- Strong understanding of enterprise software engineering, cloud architecture, platform engineering, and DevOps.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and modern cloud-native architectures, including containers, serverless computing, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong understanding of CMS, DAM, MarTech, Content Supply Chain, web, eCommerce, and digital experience platforms.
- Experience with Adobe ecosystem technologies such as AEM, Workfront, Workfront Fusion, or adjacent Adobe Experience Cloud capabilities.
- Deep understanding of modern software integration approaches including REST APIs, GraphQL, event-driven architectures, middleware, and microservices.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, observability, release engineering, and continuous deployment.
- Ability to design and operate secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective enterprise platforms.
- Strong systems-thinking capability across highly interconnected enterprise platforms.
- Ability to translate business and technology strategy into executable modernization roadmaps.
- Strong understanding of engineering productivity, developer experience, platform reliability, and operational excellence.
- Ability to evaluate and apply emerging AI and agentic technologies within enterprise engineering environments.
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training

- Fully functioning, broad knowledge in:

- 8-12 years relevant work-related / leadership experience
- Required: 8–10+ years of progressive technology and engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional software engineering, cloud, platform, DevOps, and/or quality engineering teams.
- Demonstrated accountability for technology delivery, talent development, operational outcomes, and large-scale transformation.
- 6–8+ years of experience across Adobe, SaaS engineering, AWS cloud, or platform engineering environments.
- Experience designing or leading secure and scalable cloud-native solutions using containers, serverless technologies, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability, resiliency, and cost-management practices.
- 5–7+ years of experience delivering digital content at scale across headful/headless CMS, DAM, web, eCommerce, workflow, and omnichannel platforms.
- Relevant experience with Adobe AEM, Workfront, or Fusion.
- 5–7+ years of experience overseeing REST/GraphQL APIs, event-driven integrations, middleware, microservices, automated testing, release management, and production support.
- Experience leading modernization roadmaps and managing dependencies and delivery risks across complex enterprise environments.
- Preferred:
Prior engineering management experience with cross-continental or onshore/offshore teams, preferably 3+ years.
- Hands-on familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Workfront, Workfront Fusion, DAM governance, or adjacent enterprise MarTech platforms.
- Experience with Agile or scaled delivery models including SAFe, ARTs, capacity planning, velocity, and portfolio-level dependency management.
- Experience applying AI-assisted engineering, automation, platform engineering, or developer-experience practices to improve speed, quality, and reliability.
- Experience supporting digital commerce or eCommerce platforms.
- Exposure to agentic AI and emerging approaches where content and digital experiences may increasingly be delivered through intelligent agents.
- Experience implementing mature continuous deployment practices.
- Experience supporting Content Supply Chain or large-scale MarTech transformation programs.
- Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary and sensitive Company information
- Ability to work extended hours as needed
