Description
Amex GBT is a place where colleagues find inspiration in travel as a force for good and – through their work – can make an impact on our industry. We’re here to help our colleagues achieve success and offer an inclusive and collaborative culture where your voice is valued.
As Manager, Commercial Strategy and Planning (PMO), you will run the core PMO disciplines for our commercial initiative portfolio. You will keep plans and progress up to date, help prioritise what matters most, act as the link between Commercial Strategy and Planning and Product/Technology, oversee deployment and change management, and resolve critical issues as they arise.
What you'll be doing:
- Build and maintain plans for initiatives across the portfolio, and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
- Support prioritisation of initiatives, balancing capacity, dependencies, and commercial value.
- Act as the key interlock between Commercial Strategy and Planning and Product/Technology teams.
- Manage deployment and change management for initiatives and releases affecting the commercial organisation.
- Triage and resolve critical and high-priority issues, keeping stakeholders informed throughout.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience in a PMO, portfolio management, or project delivery role.
- Experience working with Product and/or Technology teams
- Ability to shape and define plans.
- Proficiency in PMO business process.
- Diligent and organised.
- PMO certification or training (e.g., PRINCE2, P3O, PMP). (preferred)
- Experience running governance and steering committee reporting. (preferred)
- Familiarity with PMO tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project) (preferred)
