Principle Purpose of Job:

The Spa Director is responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the Ranch. The Spa Director will direct and manage day-to-day operations for the Ranch Creek Spa, focusing on accomplishing performance objectives based on business revenues, departmental cash flow, guest, and employee satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitors key spa departmental and industry performance indicators through observation and feedback, guiding and directing team members to achieve established goals and objectives. 
• Involved in the development of the Spa operational budget to attain departmental cash flow objectives. 
• Executes the annual departmental budget. Monitors department’s budgeted monthly profit and loss performance. 
• Ensures that product quality standards are met in all areas of the spa as it relates to the appearance and cleanliness.
• Reviews and evaluates applications for employment within the spa. Interviews and selects massage therapists, estheticians, receptionists and housekeepers. Responsible for all staff training and mentoring. 
• Oversees the guest service function to ensure corrective action is taken to resolve guest complaints and ensure superior guest service is delivered. 
• Review and prepare payroll on a bi-weekly basis. 
• Schedule all therapists, estheticians, receptionists, and a housekeeper under budgeted guidelines. 
• Responsible for inventory management and ensuring monthly inventory is conducted at all retail spaces within Ranch Creek Spa.
• Prepare monthly reports in a timely fashion to as determined by senior management.
• Responds to guest problems and reacts promptly and appropriately, ensuring a high standard of service is delivered. 
• Provides ongoing training for spa team members or works with outside spa professionals to provide ongoing team training.
• Supports day-to-day Spa operations, assisting team members as needed.
• Assists in the development and fulfillment of Spa Wellness oriented special events.
• Ensure Ranch Mission is executed. 
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the resort when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of four years experience in Resort Spa Management. 
• Demonstrated knowledge in all aspects of spa operations. 
• Certified Massage Therapist preferred. 
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Experience effectively managing a spa departmental team with over 15 team members.
• Must have a working knowledge of spa scheduling software.
• Must have demonstrated success managing departmental profit and loss categories. 
• Must have strong organizational skills (written and verbal,) computer skills and accounting skills. 
• Able to effectively lead and develop managers, service staff and other employees of the resort into a cohesive team. 
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
• Must be available weekends and holidays.

Due to the nature of our 24-hour operation, there is no guaranteed work schedule. Managers will try to accommodate specific schedule requests, but they are never guaranteed if business volume prohibits.
