Description
Here is the deal, start to finish. You bring a Class A CDL and a finished truck driving school. We pay you $675 every week while a mentor trains you on the road. When you are ready, you get your own truck and a $1,000 weekly guarantee for your first three months. This fleet hires new drivers only, from St. Helens, Scappoose and the lower Columbia River towns, and it runs the states west of the Mississippi with home time every two weeks.
Step 1. Orientation
Two days or less. You are paid $300 for it once you are hired. If you come by bus, the one-way ticket is reimbursed with a receipt.
Step 2. Training on the road
- 3 to 5 weeks, 200 to 250 hours, with an experienced mentor
- $675 a week, paid every week
- Real loads on the same western lanes you will run solo
Step 3. Your own truck
- Solo mileage pay starts at $0.50 per mile
- Drivers on this fleet average $1,400 to $1,500 a week
- About 2,000 miles a week
- $1,000 weekly pay guarantee for your first 3 months solo
- Monthly performance bonus on top
What the work looks like
Dry van freight across every state west of the Mississippi line, from the Northwest down to Texas. Stops pay $15 each. Some weekend work comes with the territory, and you are home every two weeks. The open western highways are the selling point here, and the fleet plans loads to keep your hours full.
Your truck
A late-model tractor, about a year and a half old on average. The fleet runs automatics and 10-speeds.
Your dog and your rider
After training, one approved dog up to 40 pounds can ride with you. Solo drivers can also apply for the adult rider program.
Benefits after 30 days
- Medical, prescription, dental and vision
- 401(k) and stock purchase plan
- Life, disability, accident and critical illness options
- Tuition-free online degree for you and one dependent
