At Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA), our facilities play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and healing environment for our community. We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead operations across our growing healthcare organization. This role combines strategic leadership, technical expertise, and long-term planning to ensure our facilities, infrastructure, and buildings support exceptional patient care and continued organizational growth.

The ideal candidate brings extensive healthcare facilities experience, strong leadership abilities, and the technical expertise to ensure our buildings, infrastructure, and environments continue to support safe, high-quality patient care.

 How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Lead facilities operations across multiple locations, ensuring buildings, grounds, and infrastructure remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
  • Oversee facility assessments and develop long-term plans for infrastructure improvements, renovations, expansions, and capital projects.
  • Establish and manage preventative maintenance, repair, and energy conservation programs.
  • Develop and manage departmental operating and capital budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure responsible use of resources.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, life safety requirements, workplace safety regulations, and healthcare accreditation standards, including AAAHC and Joint Commission requirements, as applicable.
  • Manage construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to patient care.
  • Lead and develop facilities staff through recruitment, training, performance management, and ongoing accountability.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, service agreements, contracts, and contractor performance.
  • Partner with clinical and administrative leaders to address facility needs and maintain uninterrupted operations.
  • Direct facilities-related emergency response and recovery efforts, including utility disruptions and building system failures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and regulatory documentation while identifying opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and service delivery.

Why Join PTHA?
