As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in both tax compliance and financial reporting engagements, including the preparation and review of financial statements under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the Financial Reporting Framework for Small- and Medium-Sized Entities (FRF for SMEs). Experience a variety of industries, work closely with business owners and leadership teams, and expand your technical accounting expertise while mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities:
- Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of clients' businesses.
- Complete tax planning, along with occasional specialty duties.
- Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, real estate, and exempt organizations.
- Prepare research memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, and other documents for submission to the IRS or other taxing authorities.
- Manage multiple clients, budgets, and production goals.
- Prepare and review compiled and reviewed financial statements in accordance with GAAP and FRF for SMEs standards.
- Assist clients with financial reporting matters and related accounting questions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to staff accountants.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- CPA Certification preferred or eligible.
- 5+ years of recent public accounting experience.
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements under GAAP and/or FRF for SMEs standards.
