About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur / within the Engineering Department in Kuala Lumpur, the Project Assistant is responsible to perform all secretarial duties and administration of the Project Office in an efficient and courteous manner in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Hotel. The Project Assistant reports to the Director of Engineering /Project Executive / Project Consultant.

As Project Assistant, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Support with the preparation of Project Requisition Form (PRF), Tender Plan, Tender Documents, Tender evaluations and Reports, CAPEX requisition, Preparation of Cost Estimates, Post Project documentation and requirements, payment, till successful closure of Projects.

• Coordinates and schedules project related meetings, maintain and circulate minutes whenever required for further follow up.

• To coordinate and liaise with various department, vendors, contractors and consultants efficiently.

• Provides support in the execution of activities for and in monitoring the execution of project work plans and ensures that project activities are properly and realistically scheduled, monitored, and reported.

• Demonstrate commitment to hotel’s need in relation to “CAPEX” and confidentiality continuously.

• To organize and maintain all administration activities/ files of the department

As Project Assistant, we expect from you:

• Minimum a Diploma/ Advanced/ Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying/ Building Technology/ Engineering or others equivalent

• Must meet all local and state certification/licensure requirements

• Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities

• At least 3 year(s) relevant working experience in construction industry / environment Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
