Shape the future of Saab IT –Head of IT service management process

Take on a leadership role at the heart of Saab's digital transformation. As Head of IT Service Management Process within Group IT, you will lead a strategically important area that enables reliable and effective IT operations through common processes, strong operational governance and continuous improvement.

You will help shape how IT services are operated and improved across Saab, strengthening operational ITSM capabilities and ways of working while increasing standardisation, automation and data-driven service management.

Your role

As Head of IT Service Management, you are responsible for the performance, development and effectiveness of Saab's operational IT service management area. You lead the organisation, people and capabilities supporting key Run & Operate processes including Incident, Request, Problem, Change, Configuration, Knowledge and Asset Management. The area also includes Operational Service Management and Major Incident Management.

A key part of your role will be to strengthen and evolve how these processes are applied across Saab IT, creating consistent ways of working, improving operational performance and supporting effective execution across service providers. You will also drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis and strengthen Configuration and Asset Management capabilities.

You will be part of the IT Operations & Support management team. You will work closely with service providers across Saab, building alignment between operational needs, processes and service delivery. The role requires some travel to meet with your teams and business stakeholders

In this role, you will

• Lead, develop and engage employees within the area
• Drive organisational development and continuous improvement across the area
• Set direction and priorities for the area in alignment with Saab's business and technology strategies
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, vendors, and partners to maximise the value of IT service management capabilities and services
• Lead the development of Saab's IT service management processes and capabilities
• Drive standardisation, governance, continuous improvement, and increased automation across the IT service management lifecycle
• Ensure effective management and alignment of core ITSM processes, such as Asset, Configuration and Change Management

Your profile

We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong combination of people leadership, business understanding and technology insight.

You have experience leading teams and delivering results in complex IT environments and understand how strong ITSM practices contribute to stable, reliable and continuously improving IT services. You are comfortable working across organisational boundaries and creating common ways of working in environments involving multiple service providers and stakeholders.

You are a people-oriented leader who creates engagement, develops others and fosters high-performing teams. At the same time, you bring structure, drive and a strong operational mindset. You are comfortable leading in situations where coordination, prioritisation and decisive action are critical.

Key qualifications and experience

• Academic degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
• Strong people leadership and talent development skills
• Proven experience managing operational delivery and service performance
• Experience driving ITSM transformation, process improvement, or operational excellence initiatives in complex environments
• Strong understanding of IT service management, process governance, and service delivery best practices
• Experience from large, complex and global organisations
• Experience from the defence industry is considered an advantage
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluency in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken
