What You'll Do
As our HR Generalist, you'll serve as a trusted resource for employees while supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment
· Review, screen, schedule, coordinate applicants through the hiring process
· Conduct background checks on candidates
· Schedule and coordinate orientation for new employees.
· Assist the Community HR Director in retention efforts.
· Post and manage the job vacancies in HRIS.
· Maintain an accurate, organized, and detailed candidate database.
Retention
· Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure a welcoming and engaging onboarding experience.
· Help drive employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
· Track recruiting metrics and produce recruiting reports to the Community HR Director and ED.
· Coordinate with greater local community resources to attract applicants, post jobs and attend job fairs.
General
· Assist employees and leaders with HR-related questions, policies, and procedures.
· Support the Community Director of HR on employee relations matters, investigations, and performance management.
· Coordinate HR compliance activities and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws.
· Assist with workers' compensation, leave administration, and workplace safety programs.
· Prepare reports, audits, and other HR documentation as needed.
· Maintain applicant, candidate, and employee confidentiality.
Requirements
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
· Minimum of 2 years of human resources experience.
· Experience in healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or a service-oriented environment preferred.
· Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
· HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) a plus.
