UI/UX Designer

Job Brief:At Staker Parson Materials & Construction, we are seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to join our team and contribute to a long-term project that plays a crucial role in our scientific R&D, productization, and manufacturing efforts. As a UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for designing user interfaces that are not only efficient and intuitive but also safety-conscious, providing clarity and insight for our teammates, investors, and partners. Responsibilities:1. Branding and Visual Identity: Ensure that the UI designs align with Staker Parson Materials & Construction's branding guidelines, maintaining a consistent visual identity across all digital products.2. Responsive Design: Develop UI solutions that are responsive and adaptable to various devices and screen sizes, ensuring a seamless user experience.3. Prototyping and Wireframing: Build interactive prototypes and wireframes to demonstrate design concepts, gather feedback from stakeholders and users, and refine the user experience.4. User Research and Testing: Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points, and incorporate findings into the design process. Conduct usability testing to validate design choices and enhance user satisfaction.5. Collaboration: Work closely with UX designers, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure UI designs align with the overall product vision and goals.6. Design System and Pattern Library: Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and pattern libraries, streamlining UI design processes and ensuring consistency across products.7. Accessibility: Ensure that UI designs meet accessibility standards, making digital products usable by all users, including those with disabilities.8. Animation and Interaction Design: Create engaging and user-friendly animations and interactions that enhance the overall user experience.9. Visual Asset Creation: Produce high-quality visual assets, such as icons, illustrations, and graphics, that complement the UI design.10. UI Implementation Support: Collaborate with front-end developers during the implementation phase to ensure the UI design is accurately translated into the final product. Who You Are:- You have 3+ years of experience designing advanced apps, including scientific, B2B, or prosumer applications, and creating novel data visualizations.- You have 2+ years of experience managing and contributing to a design system.- You are fluent in Figma and understand how to use components and assets effectively.- You have meticulous attention to detail and a talent for representing information in ways that are simple, intuitive, and minimize cognitive load.- You consider common best practices but are also open to exploring novel solutions.- You design responsive web UIs that optimize for the advantages of mobile and desktop.- You thrive in a collaborative environment, seeking out critical feedback, and can clearly articulate the tradeoffs of different design directions.- You are passionate about making a positive impact on our planet and want to use your skills to contribute to meaningful projects. APL Benefits:- Medical, dental, and vision coverage.- Paid sick days and vacation.- Competitive salary and equity compensation commensurate with experience.- Diverse and inclusive work environment. Salary Range: $60,000 - $100,000 per year Please note that the actual offer details will be determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level, and the salary range provided serves as a reference point. At Staker Parson Materials & Construction, we believe in a diverse and inclusive work culture.
