The Senior Manager Field Service is responsible for leading the overall Service and Field Applications organization in Italy, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer support while driving operational excellence, business growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director Italy, this senior leadership role oversees all Field Service, Field Applications, and service performance activities across the country. The successful candidate will lead a team of Field Service Area Managers and Field Application Managers, with overall responsibility for a nationwide organization of more than 100 people.
This role plays a critical part in supporting business objectives by defining and executing the national service strategy, optimizing service delivery, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards. The position is also expected to shape the future service organization in Italy, ensuring alignment with Beckman Coulter's business priorities, customer needs, and long-term growth objectives.
In this role, she/he will have the opportunity to:
- Lead and develop the national Service and Field Applications organization, managing and coaching a team of Field Service Area Managers and Field Application Managers to ensure consistent execution, engagement, and operational excellence across all regions.
- Drive customer satisfaction, service quality, and base business retention, partnering closely with Commercial and Sales leadership to support sustainable growth and strengthen long-term customer relationships.
- Define and execute the national service strategy, ensuring contractual commitments, operational KPIs, productivity targets, and customer expectations are consistently achieved.
- Build organizational capabilities and technical excellence, developing talent, succession planning, leadership capabilities, and continuous improvement initiatives while fostering a high-performance, customer-centric culture.
- Act as a key member of the Italy Leadership Team, influencing business strategy, leading transformational initiatives, optimizing resource allocation, and driving cross-functional collaboration to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, or a related technical/scientific discipline.
- 10+ years of experience within the Medical Diagnostics, Healthcare, Medical Device, or Life Sciences industry, including significant leadership responsibility in Field Service and/or Field Applications organizations.
- Proven track record in leading managers and geographically dispersed teams, with demonstrated success in driving operational performance, organizational transformation, and talent development.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and business acumen, with the ability to influence senior leaders and translate service excellence into customer satisfaction and business growth.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, fluency in English, willingness to travel nationally up to 50% of the time, and a valid driver's license.

The expected gross annual salary range for this role is <87.000-135.000 euros>, determined based on objective criteria such as experience, skills, and role-related competencies.
Bonus / Incentive Pay
20% of annual base salary
This job is also eligible for bonus / incentive pay. This is the target earnings as % of base annual salary, subject to objective eligibility criteria and performance conditions as set out in the applicable scheme terms and conditions.
This job is also eligible for a comprehensive package of benefits and specifically [company car, ticket restaurant, pension Fund Mario Negri + Prev.int funds 2% by the Company, medical funds Fasdac+ Previass, insurance Pastore, training CFMT, Welfare Negri 1500 euros per year].
