The position will assist in all phases of the wheat breeding program as we prepare for planting wheat studies.  This requires attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, ability to work in dusty work areas and in the wheat fields.  The job entails threshing wheat seed, cleaning seed, sticking labels on envelopes, filling envelopes with seed, filling trays with seed for planting.

Responsibilities:

• threshing seed from wheat plants

• cleaning wheat seed

• labeling envelopes

• filling envelopes with seed

• filling seed trays

Education and experience required:

High School diploma or GED. 1 year of relevant experience required.

Education and experience desired:
BS or MS in agronomy, preferably with an emphasis on plant breeding and genetics

The offer for this position will fall within the positions pay range based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications
