Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent for Senior Market Access Manager.

Purpose:

The Senior Market Access Manager is responsible for developing and executing market access strategies that optimise patient access to innovative medicines across Malaysia. This role leads initiatives spanning reimbursement, pricing, health technology assessment (HTA), health economics, policy engagement, and value demonstration to support sustainable access and improved patient outcomes.

The position serves as a strategic partner across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Government Affairs, and Regional teams to ensure market access considerations are integrated into business planning, product launches, and lifecycle management activities.

You will be responsible for:

• Developing and executing comprehensive market access strategies that support new product launches, indication expansions, and lifecycle management initiatives across the portfolio
• Integrating market access perspectives into brand strategies, commercial planning processes, and cross-functional decision-making to maximise patient access opportunities
• Leading the development and implementation of pricing strategies that balance patient affordability, healthcare system sustainability, and business objectives
• Driving pricing governance activities, including pricing committee submissions, scenario modelling, value justification, and implementation of approved pricing decisions
• Establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders across healthcare institutions, government agencies, policy makers, and reimbursement bodies
• Leading reimbursement and market listing strategies by developing compelling value propositions, evidence packages, and negotiation approaches that support access objectives
• Identifying evidence gaps and partnering with Medical Affairs and other functions to develop evidence generation plans that strengthen value demonstration and reimbursement success
• Monitoring healthcare policy developments, reimbursement trends, and market access dynamics while providing strategic recommendations that support long-term business growth

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, Health Economics, Public Health, or a related discipline
• Advanced degree such as Master's in Health Economics, Public Health, Pharmacy, Business, or a related field is preferred
• Minimum 8–12 years of pharmaceutical industry experience with at least 5 years in Market Access, Pricing, Reimbursement, Government Affairs, Health Economics, or related functions
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing successful reimbursement, formulary listing, pricing, or healthcare access strategies
• Strong understanding of the Malaysian healthcare ecosystem, reimbursement landscape, health technology assessment processes, and healthcare policy environment
• Experience engaging with healthcare policy makers, reimbursement stakeholders, government agencies, and healthcare institutions
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical capabilities, and ability to translate complex clinical, economic, and policy information into actionable market access strategies
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and operate effectively within regional and global matrix organisations
