Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Threat Assessment in Somerset, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will contribute to a professional, welcoming environment while documenting observations and responding to concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and/or alarm systems in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual activity and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as directed by site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter, helping to identify and report potential security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and policy violations.
• Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership while following confidentiality and information-handling requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
