Commercial Lines Account Manager (Hybrid schedule)

General Job Summary

The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for making changes to customer accounts within carrier guidelines. Remarket current commercial lines business when necessary. Round current accounts with additional products and be responsible for the Commercial Renewal process. Solicit, refer, and evaluate new insurance clients. Obtain and process information/documentation from carriers. Service existing accounts including but not limited to payments, changes, audits, and claims.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Evaluate customer inquiries to make an informed decision.
• Follow up with underwriter and customer through renewal process.
• Log all activities in agency management system.
• Maintain records, reports, and files as applicable.
• Answer customer inquiries regarding coverage, changes, claims, payments, audits, etc.
• Round commercial accounts when servicing the client.
• Remarketing Commercial customers when requested by customer or Producer.
• • Run expiration reports each month following Commercial Renewal Procedure.
• Handle overflow of new business when needed.
• Assist Producer(s) when needed.

Other Job Functions

• Maintain required disclosure postings and licensing (continuing education, etc.)
• Attend all required meetings/trainings.
• Answer telephones as needed.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Working Environment

Primary working environment is within an indoor climate-controlled office space and/or a private home office or some combination which will be at managements sole discretion. Employee may be subject to florescent lighting, dust, and other normal indoor allergens. Employee may work in close proximity of coworkers and occasionally independently in quiet environments.

Requirements

Education, Training and Work Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of previous commercial lines insurance servicing & quoting experience highly preferred.
• Current Property & Casualty Insurance License in required lines (or ability to obtain license within 90 days of accepting position).

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Extended periods of sitting (at computer desk).
• Complete repetitive tasks (including operation of computer mouse/keyboard).
• Ability and means to travel to on a flexible schedule as needed.
• May be exposed to extended periods of interaction with other (listening/talking/taking notes).
