About this opportunity

We are looking for a Core Support Engineer to join our Network Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of Core Network elements. You will work closely with customers, NOC teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve faults, optimize network performance, and support operational excellence across the network domain.

What you will do

• Provide operational support for CS/PS Core Network nodes deployed across the network.
• Perform troubleshooting and fault resolution for Core Network elements to maintain network stability and service availability.
• Monitor network health and proactively identify performance issues and service degradations.
• Handle incidents and fault management activities in coordination with NOC, Back Office, and customer teams.
• Analyze daily operational reports and implement action plans to address critical KPI/KQI deviations.
• Conduct routine audits and health checks of Core Network nodes and related infrastructure.
• Manage and coordinate Change Requests (CRs) with relevant stakeholders and support teams.
• Drive customer complaint resolution through effective coordination with technical support groups.
• Ensure execution and compliance of backup and restoration processes for Core Network elements.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maintain network reliability.
• Support MSC site operations, facility management, and information management activities.
• Supervise third-party vendors and ensure adherence to operational and safety standards.
• Follow customer and central team operational guidelines and processes.
• Participate in a 24x7 operational support environment and support network upkeep activities as required.

You will bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in Core Network Operations and Support.
• Strong knowledge of CS Core Network technologies and architecture.
• Experience working with network elements such as MGW, MSS, GMSC, GMGW, STP, and DRA.
• Understanding of Packet Core and Telecom Network Operations.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of IP networking and protocols.
• Experience in fault management, performance analysis, and customer support environments.
• Ability to perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution under pressure.
• Familiarity with change management, incident management, and operational processes.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Flexibility to work in a 24x7 support model and handle critical operational situations.
• A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service quality and operational excellence.
