Salary Range: $17 - $17.75

This position provides high school students with hands-on experience in a school-based bank branch. Students will develop financial literacy, customer service, and workplace skills while working under the direct supervision of experienced bank staff in a structured learning environment. Students will work closely with experienced staff to complete general administrative and operational duties as well as special projects as assigned. Will provide excellent customer service and exhibit professional telephone and communication skills when interacting with customers and clients.

Education and Experience:

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student in good academic and attendance standing at the school where the in-school branch operates
  • Must be a student in or entering their junior year or above
  • Customer service or school activity participation preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic PC skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills with attention to accuracy
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to foster company success through professional appearance, being courteous to customers and other staff by having a positive attitude

Unique Job Characteristics and Requirements:

  • Candidates must provide valid identification to satisfy I-9 employment eligibility requirements
  • Candidates must present valid working papers at the time of hire; employment is subject to all applicable federal and state youth employment laws, including restrictions on hours worked
  • Work may be performed at the in-school branch or other local branches and will require reliable transportation

Tasks Performed:

  • 50% Assist with basic customer transactions (e.g., deposits, withdrawals, account inquiries) under direct supervision
  • 30% Provide customer service to student and customers, including greeting, answering questions, and promoting financial literacy
  • 15% Support administrative duties such as maintaining records, preparing forms, and organizing branch materials
  • 5% Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

  • Communicate effectively with internal and/or external customers
  • Stationary 75% of time or greater
  • Move Objects to Maximum 10 lbs
