Description
The Head of Human Resources leads the HR function to define, implement, and maintain a high-quality HR service for a growing, globally distributed workforce. This role is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, processes, and programs that support organizational objectives and employee experience.
Based in Europe, the role has global responsibility and is supported by regional HR leads in countries where local support is required. The successful candidate will have experience working across multiple countries and cultures and be able to collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams. International travel may be required.
The role requires the ability to operate strategically and operationally, partnering with leaders at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership. The Head of HR will also collaborate with the wider group of companies to share best practices, drive continuous improvement, and support the evolution of HR practices across the group.
The role reports to the Group HR Director and is a fully remote position based in the UK, Ireland, or Portugal. Infrequent international travel is expected (approximately 10% of working time).
Requirements
Essential
- Significant progressive experience in Human Resources leadership roles.
- Professional HR qualification (e.g., CPHR, CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent) and/or relevant education and experience.
- Experience developing and implementing HR policies, programs, and practices across multiple countries.
- Experience managing or leading HR teams.
- Experience designing and delivering organizational change initiatives.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders across multiple geographies, cultures, and business functions.
- Strong facilitation, coaching, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive matters.
Desirable
- Experience supporting organizations within software development, technology, or highly technical environments.
- Experience working across the UK, Portugal, India, and North America.
- Experience working in organizations of different sizes and growth stages.
- Experience with Workday or comparable HR information systems.
- Knowledge of employment law and HR practices across multiple jurisdictions.
