Heartline Staffing is recruiting an Applications Engineer for an onsite opportunity in New Haven, Connecticut. This customer-facing technical role combines applications engineering, mechanical problem-solving and technical support while working closely with customers, distributors and cross-functional internal teams.
The position is well suited for someone with a mechanical engineering background or demonstrated mechanical aptitude who can understand technical applications, solve problems and explain complex technical concepts clearly to customers. Direct pump-industry experience is preferred but is not required.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Applications Engineer provides technical application support within an inside sales organization and works as part of a five-person Applications Engineering team. The role interacts cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Sales and Customer Service and reports to the Applications/Inside Sales Manager.
COMPENSATION
• $70,000-$85,000 Base Salary

Requirements
• Experience Interacting With Customers And Explaining Technical Concepts In Simple Terms REQUIRED
• Mechanical Engineering Background OR Demonstrated Mechanical Aptitude With An Understanding Of Mechanical Engineering And Fluid Dynamics REQUIRED
• Bachelor's Degree OR Demonstrated Technical Aptitude Meeting The Stated Experience Alternative REQUIRED
