Job Description
The Vice President of Business Development and Sales will report to the Wealth Services Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) for Custody.

Our Sales team supports the Wealth Services platform by driving innovative revenue growth strategies across global markets. The team focuses on delivering differentiated, scalable solutions to ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients and large enterprise wealth management firms while ensuring seamless integration across our global platforms and markets.
The successful candidate will support a wide range of sales and strategy activities, including:
Revenue Leadership
- Support the global revenue strategy in alignment with Wealth Services objectives.
- Drive new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and relationship development.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach and discovery through qualification.
- Provide regular updates on pipeline progress, deal status, and activity metrics.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, opportunities, and next steps within Salesforce CRM.
Client Engagement
- Cultivate and deepen strategic partnerships with UHNW clients, wealth managers, registered investment advisors, and enterprise wealth management firms.
- Deliver customized custody, clearing, and investment solutions that meet evolving client needs.
- Engage with senior client contacts and collaborate with relationship management teams to deliver an exceptional client experience.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand client needs and clearly articulate the Wealth Custody & Clearing value proposition.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within prospective client organizations.
- Stay current on trends in investment management, fintech, and capital markets to support informed client conversations.
Sales Strategy
- Shape and execute the go-to-market approach for State Street's global wealth offerings, leveraging strategic alliances including Apex Fintech Solutions.
- Co-lead joint initiatives with Apex to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions that drive differentiation and client value.
- Expand relationships with existing institutional partners to unlock new revenue streams.
- Proactively identify and engage new enterprise wealth management prospects globally.
- Utilize market intelligence to identify and capitalize on opportunities in alternative investments, private credit solutions, and securities-based lending.
Product & Platform Expertise
- Apply strong knowledge of wealth management solutions, including CRD Wealth and third-party platform integrations, to support client transitions and drive operational excellence.
Enterprise Integration
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of enterprise client operating models, technology ecosystems, and compliance requirements to ensure efficient onboarding and integration across State Street platforms.
Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product Management, Operations, Transition, and Technology teams to deliver seamless, client-focused solutions and advance key revenue initiatives.
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Product teams to align messaging and outreach efforts.
Global Representation
- Serve as a brand ambassador for State Street, representing the organization at industry events, promoting thought leadership, and reinforcing our reputation as a trusted global partner. [

Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of related experience, preferably within the financial services industry.
- 7+ years of enterprise sales experience in wealth custody, wealth management, wealth technology, financial services technology, or fintech, with a demonstrated track record of achieving commercial targets.
- Deep familiarity with the wealth landscape, including wealth managers, registered investment advisors, private banks, and broker-dealers.
- Demonstrated success in pipeline generation and deal execution.
- Experience managing complex enterprise sales processes involving executive stakeholders, procurement governance, and competitive displacement.
- Exceptional sales leadership skills, including the ability to design and execute enterprise sales strategies, negotiate complex transactions, and manage executive client relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen, including forecasting, pipeline analytics, CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), and revenue operations frameworks.
- Proficiency with CRD Wealth and other critical third-party platform integrations.
- Ability to lead, prioritize, and execute multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Strong delivery mindset with the ability to think both strategically and tactically.
- Superb business judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Salary Range:
$110,000 - $207,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the location above, the applicable range could differ.
