Finance Business Partner - Innovation

Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and management reporting across Easygo's Innovation portfolio: the Group's payments function, an upcoming in-house game studio and other early-stage ventures, spanning multiple entities, currencies and jurisdictions. As our Finance Business Partner, you will design the P&L and reporting frameworks behind them and keep each one well controlled as it scales.

Sitting within Commercial Finance, you will be the trusted finance partner to the leaders building these ventures. Stakeholder engagement plays a big part: you will get close to how each business operates, guide revenue recognition and cost allocation decisions as they mature, and challenge constructively when the numbers call for it. This is a rare opportunity to set the financial foundations of new businesses from the outset.

The impact you’ll make:

• Deliver the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts for the Innovation portfolio, coordinating inputs from product and functional leads
• Build integrated P&L, cash flow and operating driver models that are accurate, well documented and easy for others to use
• Own monthly management reporting, including management P&L, margin analysis and unit economics by entity, product and market, with variance commentary that recommends actions rather than just numbers
• Track headcount, opex and capex against plan, flagging risks and opportunities early
• Challenge and support business cases, investment proposals and new initiatives so the financial implications are understood before decisions are made
• Analyse the return on pricing, fee structures, promotional and go-to-market activity, and support vendor and contract negotiations with benchmarking and total cost of ownership analysis
• Support entity structure, revenue recognition and cost allocation decisions as each venture matures, aligned with the wider Commercial Finance team
• Model licence fees, duties, taxes and regulatory compliance costs across jurisdictions, and develop profitability analysis to inform launch, investment, scaling and exit decisions
• Partner with the Data and Analytics team on SQL and Databricks data, including transaction and wallet-level data, design reconciliation processes across wallets and payment provider ledgers, and automate recurring reporting

Your track record:

• 4+ years' experience in FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering roles
• Strong financial modelling and data analysis skills, including advanced Excel and working knowledge of SQL
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline
• CA, CPA or CIMA qualified, or in the final stages of completion
• Experience with business intelligence and data tooling (Power BI, Databricks or similar) to build reports and dashboards
• Proven ability to partner with and influence non-finance stakeholders, translating financial concepts into plain language
• Strong written communication skills, with experience preparing commentary and analysis for executive audiences
• Comfortable operating across multiple entities, currencies and jurisdictions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, including work that is not yet well defined
• High attention to detail combined with the judgement to prioritise what matters commercially

Bonus points if you also have:

• iGaming, fintech, payments or technology industry exposure, including familiarity with transaction-level data and reconciliation
• Hands-on Databricks experience and comfort working directly with large datasets
• Python or similar scripting experience for data analysis and automation
• Experience in a regulated or licensed environment
• Exposure to payment service provider economics, reconciliation processes, or greenfield entity and system setup
