Job Description

As a Security Officer Customer Service Screening in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by screening personnel and visitors, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and support smooth facility operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific procedures and access-screening requirements at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and packages in accordance with established procedures; inspect credentials, authorized items, and restricted items as applicable.
• Monitor entry and exit points, maintain accurate records, and report suspicious activity, prohibited items, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and escalating concerns as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
