As part of the Indirect Sourcing organization, the Sr. IT Sourcing Specialist develops and implements sourcing strategies that result in a sustainable competitive advantage for the Global IT category, while managing critical activities to reduce costs without compromising quality. This role works to build and leverage relationships between suppliers and BSC sites, divisions and regional sourcing teams, and partners with IT key stakeholders to achieve organizational and functional goals.

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Negotiating new IT agreements in support of key sourcing areas
• Developing and implementing sourcing strategies, including supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting
• Managing supplier performance, relationships, and continuous improvement programs
• Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers to achieve annual cost savings and value contribution targets
• Creating and issuing RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs to potential suppliers and managing IT projects
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the sourcing function

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 3 years of indirect sourcing experience
• Experience with end-to-end sourcing process, negotiations and contract management
• Proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (i.e. SAP and Ariba)

Preferred qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT Sourcing (i.e. software, hardware and services)
• Professional certification in Sourcing or Procurement
• Results-driven with effective negotiation skills and ability to meet target goals and objectives
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levels (written and verbal)
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
