Production Designer

Description

AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology – is seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative Production Designer to support the high-volume creative needs of our marketing, sales, events, research, and internal communications teams. This role brings AMT and IMTS campaigns, sales initiatives, and organizational priorities to life through polished, brand-consistent digital and print materials. 

The Production Designer will create, adapt, version, and finalize assets across channels while keeping work accurate, organized, and on brand. Success requires strong design fundamentals, excellent production discipline, and comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Key Priorities 

• Produce polished creative assets for AMT and IMTS marketing, sales, events, research, and internal communications. 
• Maintain consistent brand application across digital, print, and presentation materials. 
• Support campaign execution, customer outreach, and revenue-driving initiatives with responsive creative production. 
• Manage revisions, file preparation, versioning, and asset organization from request through delivery. 
• Improve templates, handoffs, and production workflows so creative work can scale efficiently. 

Core Responsibilities 

• Create digital, print, and presentation assets for campaigns, sales enablement, events, reports, internal communications, and other organizational priorities. 
• Adapt creative concepts into channel-ready materials, including ads, flyers, brochures, signage, email graphics, social assets, decks, templates, and collateral. 
• Prepare production-ready files, manage versioning, incorporate feedback, and coordinate revisions through final delivery. 
• Ensure materials are accurate, on brand, visually consistent, and ready for release. 
• Partner with stakeholders to clarify needs, manage expectations, and deliver practical design solutions. 
• Maintain organized creative files, templates, and asset libraries for easy reuse and updates. 
• Improve production workflows through better templates, repeatable systems, naming conventions, and process recommendations. 
• Collaborate with vendors or partners when needed to support print production, campaign execution, or specialized creative needs.

• Layout, typography, hierarchy, and brand application 
• Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat 
• PowerPoint design and presentation formatting 
• Print-ready file preparation, version control, and quality assurance 
• Project organization, stakeholder communication, and time and deadline management 
• Template creation, asset management, and workflow improvement  
• Ability to apply accessibility and usability best practices 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. An active portfolio demonstrating relevant design work is required. Please include a link on your resume. 
• 1-4 years of experience in graphic design, production design, or a related creative role, preferably in an in-house, agency, association, event, B2B, or marketing environment. 
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and related production tools. 
• Required experience designing and formatting presentations in PowerPoint or similar platforms. 
• Strong understanding of layout, typography, hierarchy, image preparation, file production, and print/digital specifications. 
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, incorporate feedback, and communicate clearly with stakeholders. 
• Experience with digital asset management systems, template creation, workflow tools, or file organization systems preferred. 
• Experience with video editing, motion graphics, or light animation is a plus.
