We are seeking a Contracts Manager to support commercial activities across Electronic Warfare (EW), Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD), Counter-Uncrewed Air System (C-UAS) and Communications Systems projects.
This role sits within our Rapid Capability Delivery organisation, where teams work at pace to design, integrate, trial, and deliver capability in response to evolving operational needs. You will provide contract and commercial management support that enables multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver compliant and traceable capability outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Delivery and manage all contract and commercial requirements across assigned projects in line with ASDEFCON requirements
- Develops and implements management plans, including ensuring that all required approvals are obtained.
- Drafts and reviews commercial correspondence in consultation with stakeholders.
- Identifies commercial risks, develops and implements solutions.
- Initiates and manages supplier assessment and due diligence activities, as required.
- Drafts, reviews and negotiates complex commercial agreements, including contract variations, confidentiality agreements, teaming agreements and contracts. Works with key stakeholders to ensure that all requirements and risks are addressed, and appropriate approvals obtained to release documents.
- Ensures commercial agreements are consistent with company policies and objectives, accurately reflects the agreement of the parties, the scope of work and acceptance criteria.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Contract management in an ASDEFCON environment
- Detailed knowledge of contracts and commercial requirements across the program life cycle.
- Detailed knowledge of Contracts & Supply Chain policies and procedures.
- Sound understanding of program and financial management, contract law, and intellectual property.
- Good understanding of import and export requirements, including Customs Regulations, the Defence Trade Control Act and US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- Effective negotiator, with capability to develop negotiation strategies and lead negotiations.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain Australian Government (Defence) Security Clearance up to Negative Vetting Level 1. Eligibility can be found at https://www.agsva.gov.au/applicants/eligibility-suitability
