Purchasing Assistant
Location: Odenton MD
Atlantic Bingo Supply is a leader in the multibillion-dollar charitable gaming industry. We distribute a wide array of products including consumables (pull tab tickets, bingo paper, ink, etc.) as well as state-of-the-art electronic gaming products. Our products are sold, installed, and operated in numerous social and charitable gaming venues.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and detailed team member who is motivated, organized, hands-on and reliable to join us in the role of Purchasing Assistant. This position performs a variety of daily tasks in our corporate office. It is full-time (40 hours per week); Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. Candidate will report to the Purchasing Analyst.
Requirements
Detail responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Enter purchase orders for the department and forward completed orders to suppliers.
• Track open purchase orders; review open orders with vendors; address back-order issues.
• Communicate with Purchasing Analyst regarding vendor issues, work with vendors to resolve problems.
• Address and track product returns and quality issues with vendors and the sales force.
• Develop and maintain broad product knowledge.
• Provide administrative support (filing, answering phones, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
• 3 years of related business experience.
• Proficiency in Excel a MUST.
• Exceptional interpersonal, administrative, and communication skills.
• Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to obtain results in a deadline driven environment.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
