What you'll do...
Role summary:The Senior Manager, Specialty Compliance and Ethics, leads the development and execution of compliance strategies within their area, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations. This role involves analyzing regulatory trends, managing risk assessments, and communicating findings to senior leadership. The position requires directing policy updates, overseeing compliance monitoring, and fostering a culture of integrity and accountability. The manager also supports business objectives by driving continuous improvement, mentoring team members, and collaborating cross-functionally to address compliance challenges while maintaining high ethical standards and promoting operational excellence.
About the team:
Our team develops and enforces item policies that determine which products are permitted on Walmart.com, including cross-border fulfillment in international markets. Collaborating with legal and subject matter experts, we design and implement compliance programs, policies, and controls at scale using AI, machine learning, and keyword algorithms. We continuously monitor policy effectiveness and provide actionable insights to business and technology partners to enhance control precision. This team plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance and operational excellence by integrating advanced technologies with strategic policy management, supporting Walmart’s commitment to responsible and efficient marketplace operations.
What you'll do:
- Direct compliance and ethics consistency by addressing inquiries, monitoring regulations, and updating policies with leadership input.
- Analyze data and prepare reports on compliance findings, communicating results to senior leadership and coordinating follow-up actions.
- Manage legislation assessment strategies, including research, impact analysis, and development of adaptation plans for proposed laws.
- Lead regulatory forecasting, gap analysis, and trend identification to anticipate future compliance obligations.
- Supervise and develop associates through coaching, mentoring, and performance management to build a high-performing team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to remove obstacles, drive business plans, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in governance and compliance strategy with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in compliance risk management, including identifying gaps and developing effective mitigation strategies.
- Leadership skills with the ability to mentor, develop, and manage teams to achieve compliance objectives.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex regulatory information clearly to stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to senior leadership for informed decision-making.
- Strong capability to manage multiple projects, adapt to changing regulations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
