Description
The HR Payroll Partner is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations across a multi state organization. This role manages the full payroll cycle for biweekly and monthly payrolls, including monthly bonus processing, while maintaining high standards of data integrity within the HRIS.
The Payroll Partner serves as a key point of contact for employees, internal teams, and external partners, providing clear guidance and resolving payroll related issues with professionalism and accuracy. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of payroll regulations, and the ability to proactively identify and resolve discrepancies.
This role is full time in Richmond Hill, GA.
Key Responsibilities:
Process biweekly and monthly payrolls for salaried, hourly, commission-based, and bonus payments.
Calculate and process monthly bonus payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Review and validate timecards, status changes, and payroll inputs for accuracy.
Audit payroll results prior to finalization and reconcile confirmed reports.
Support off‑cycle payrolls, adjustments, and retroactive corrections
Perform routine audits to ensure data consistency across HR, payroll, and benefits systems.
Partner with HRIS and Payroll leadership to identify system issues and support configuration updates
Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
Process expense reports and garnishments
Respond to payroll‑related inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
Research and resolve discrepancies related to pay, taxes, deductions, and timekeeping.
Provide clear communication to employees regarding payroll processes and expectations.
Adhere and contribute to HR standard operating procedures, following established company, local, state, and federal guidelines to ensure compliance.
Ensure status changes and audits of time records are accurate and any discrepancies are addressed and resolved.
Respond to payroll questions and concerns of employees, researching records and involving other resources/staff as needed, responding in a timely manner.
Maintain 1099 data for contract employees.
Assumes and executes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills with ability to follow up in a timely manner.
Effective time management, organization skills, and extreme attention to detail.
Strong computer skills, especially proficiency in Excel.
Demonstrated strong work ethic and team player skills.
High degree of professionalism and demonstrated business acumen.
Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material and handle deadline-pressure work activities.
Focused on providing excellent client service.
Career-minded rather than job-minded.
Working knowledge of Workday is highly desirable.
Education/ Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and/or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience across core payroll management -preferably in high-growth organizations.
CPP or FPC certification is highly preferred.
Payroll experience supporting the HR department is preferred.
