The Opportunity:
Join a global biopharma company with a 130-year legacy and mission to achieve new milestones in healthcare. Be part of a technology-driven, data-led organization supporting a diversified portfolio of medicines, vaccines, and animal health products. Work alongside passionate teams that use data, analytics, and insights to drive decisions and tackle some of the world’s greatest health threats.
Our Technology Centers are globally distributed hubs that enable our digital transformation and business outcomes across IT. They bring together diverse teams to collaborate, share best practices, and deliver solutions that save and improve lives.
This role is based at our Hyderabad Tech Center and follows a hybrid working model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). Candidates are expected to reside within commuting distance of the Hyderabad office.
Role Overview:
As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable software solutions across the UI, API, data, and cloud layers that meet business and user needs. You will collaborate closely with other engineers, product managers, and delivery leads to translate functional and non-functional needs into high-quality solutions, working both independently as well as part of a global team.
What will you do in this role
Develop and maintain complex full-stack applications and software configurations in collaboration with global cross-functional teams
Develop responsive, accessible user interfaces using modern web technologies (e.g., React/Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript/Python)
Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices using technologies such as Node.js/Express or equivalent
Design test cases and test scripts independently, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting test outcomes
Ensure quality through automated and manual testing, code reviews, and participation in design and requirements discussions
Build, deploy, and operate applications on cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure and/or GCP), following cloud-native best practices
Use DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring/observability) for versioning, deployment, and release automation
Leverage modern developer productivity tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools) to improve coding efficiency and quality
Apply secure development practices, including API security, authentication/authorization, and data protection
Gather requirements and design lifecycle practices and automation for secure, well-engineered systems and microservices
Follow Digital SDLC practices, ensuring appropriate documentation, compliance, and governance across all development phases (design, build, test, deploy)
Participate in Agile delivery processes using tools such as Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, status tracking, and cross-team collaboration
Demonstrate awareness of AI capabilities and apply AI-assisted tools responsibly to enhance development productivity and solution quality
Contribute to product planning, execution, and delivery within a matrix organization
Support performance optimization and scalability improvements across applications
