Job Summary
OGX is seeking a Facilities Team Lead to support the day-to-day maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and overall condition of the experience. This role will help ensure the venue and its exhibits are maintained to a high standard, coordinate repairs and vendor support, and address general facilities needs as they arise.
The Facilities Team Lead will also serve as a key liaison with technical and facilities vendors, helping troubleshoot issues onsite, coordinate repairs, and ensure technical or operational issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, comfortable troubleshooting basic facility and equipment issues, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This part-time position pays $21.00 per hour.
Primary Responsibilities
Work with venue leadership to ensure the facility, exhibits, and operational areas are maintained and functioning properly
Identify maintenance needs and perform basic repairs when appropriate
Serve as an onsite liaison with technical, facilities, and other service vendors to troubleshoot issues, coordinate repairs, and provide access and information needed to resolve problems
Assist with basic troubleshooting of technical and exhibit equipment and escalate more complex issues to the appropriate vendor or technical partner
Coordinate and follow up with vendors to ensure repairs and service requests are completed in a timely manner
Delegate and prioritize facilities and maintenance tasks to ensure timely completion
Complete daily and weekly facility inspections and maintenance checklists
Perform preventative maintenance to help keep the venue and equipment in good working condition
Monitor basic building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and other facility equipment, and escalate issues as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for Guests and employees
Sweep floors, wipe down exhibits and surfaces, and remove trash throughout the venue
Keep exhibits clean and free of smudges and fingerprints
Maintain restrooms and back-of-house areas to show standards
Ensure cleaning, sanitation, and safety supplies are properly stocked
Maintain a professional, guest-ready appearance and demeanor at all times while working in guest-facing areas
Ensure health and safety procedures are followed throughout the venue
Coordinate with onsite security and building partners regarding facility and safety needs
Maintain tools, equipment, and facility supplies in an organized and safe manner
Assist with opening, closing, and operational facility needs
Support exhibit operations and other venue functions as needed to provide the best possible Guest experience
Requirements
Must be able to remain in a standing stationary position more than 75% of the time
Must be able to work a minimum of two shifts, one of which must be a weekend day
Must be able to move throughout the exhibit and back-of-house spaces
Must be able to frequently bend, reach, kneel, and position oneself to inspect, clean, maintain, and repair equipment and facility areas
Must be comfortable using basic hand and power tools
Frequently lifts and moves items and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
Must be able to work a variable schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Your Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; some college or technical training preferred
Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, building operations, hospitality, attractions, or a similar environment preferred
Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance
Experience performing minor repairs and preventative maintenance
Basic familiarity with lighting, audio, visual, or exhibit equipment and the ability to assist with troubleshooting alongside technical vendors is a plus
At least 6 months of leadership or team lead experience preferred
