We are seeking an experienced strategist to step into a high-impact role reporting directly to the COO. This position offers the unique chance to design and execute the overarching marketing and communications blueprint for our client, directly influencing market share and brand recognition across South Africa. Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage the comprehensive national marketing and communications strategy to significantly increase brand value and support commercial objectives.
- Act as the primary representative, managing and improving key relationships with critical external regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders.
- Conceptualize, arrange, and manage high-profile national events, road shows, and sponsorships, ensuring alignment with strategic marketing goals.
- Own the entire content lifecycle, generating fresh, consistent material for all digital platforms, newsletters, and print collateral, ensuring brand consistency across all touch points.
- Drive internal brand champions by ensuring every element of the organization understands and embodies the brand ethos and goals.
- Conduct thorough market research, competitor analysis, and customer insight gathering to identify and maximize new business opportunities that align with the client’s product offerings.
- Oversee the marketing budget development and rigorously track costs and ROI for all marketing, communications, and event initiatives.
- Spearhead the creation and deployment of integrated awareness campaigns that demonstrably enhance organizational image within the marketplace and among the general public.
Requirements:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related Business discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years in Marketing/Sales/Communications roles, including at least 2 years in a management capacity.
- Proven track record of 3+ years managing large-scale Events/Project Management.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and strong report-writing capabilities.
- Experience managing complex B2B or regulated industry relationships.
