What You’ll Do:
The Facilities Manager provides facility project coordination, financial planning, and resource management support to the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center (NAWDC) at NAS Fallon, Nevada. This position supports construction, renovation, infrastructure improvements, and secure facility requirements from initial planning through project closeout. The Facilities Manager supports NAWDC directly, with daily duties and priorities established by designated NAWDC Government leadership. The position works closely with active-duty military personnel, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC), installation Public Works personnel, security representatives, and the contractor workforce. Project status, resource needs, and recommendations are provided to designated NAWDC representatives.
- Coordinate assigned NAWDC facility projects, renovations, infrastructure improvements, and Military Construction (MILCON) planning and execution support.
- Identify project requirements with stakeholders and develop scopes, schedules, milestones, cost estimates, and supporting documentation for Government review.
- Assist NAVFAC engineers and Government stakeholders in developing and reviewing Statements of Work (SOWs), specifications, and project requirements.
- Track project progress, budgets, deliverables, dependencies, and risks; recommend corrective actions and elevate issues requiring decisions by NAWDC leadership or other designated Government officials.
- Coordinate site visits, project meetings, construction access, and work schedules to reduce disruption to command operations and training.
- Coordinate with security representatives on secure facility construction and renovation requirements, including applicable ICD 705 standards and Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) requirements.
- Support inspections, document deficiencies, track corrective actions, and provide technical input and recommendations for Government acceptance and project closeout.

Requirements
What You’ll Bring:
Required Qualifications:
- An associate’s degree (or equivalent, formal coursework) in a business related area of study is required
- 3 years of DoD acquisition experience with at least 1 year of experience in program management, preferred
- 5+ years of experience managing facility-type projects, such as overseeing communication infrastructure roll outs, building construction, remodeling, and restoration within secure facilities
- Experience working with DoD Public Works type organizations, preferably NAVFAC, preferred
- PMP, IAMP, MPM (or similar) certification is a plus
- In depth knowledge of Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) and Secure Access Program Facilities (SAPF) construction and administrative requirements, required
- You are able to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
- You have professional and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- You take a proactive approach to your work and you're able to accomplish tasks with limited guidance and supervision
- You have demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Your organizational skills allow you to manage competing priorities

- This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
