The Opportunity
Ready to take the lead in a critical operation that keeps manufacturing moving? Hitachi Energy is seeking an Inventory Lead, 3rd Shift to oversee overnight inventory and material flow activities that support production success. In this role, you will lead a small team while ensuring inventory accuracy, material availability, and efficient warehouse operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You will be a key contributor to operational excellence by coordinating inventory transactions, conducting audits and cycle counts, resolving discrepancies, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to combine hands-on warehouse experience with leadership responsibilities, helping to improve processes, reduce waste, and ensure production teams have the materials they need to meet customer commitments.

How You'll Make an Impact
Lead, coach, and support 3rd shift inventory team members to achieve safety, quality, and operational goals.
Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory activities to maintain accurate inventory records.
Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate receiving, put-away, picking, and material staging activities to support production requirements.
Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment while promoting a safety-first culture.
Maintain accurate inventory transactions and records within ERP and warehouse management systems.
Partner with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that optimize inventory processes, improve efficiency, and reduce waste.
Your Background
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 3 years of inventory control, warehouse, or materials management experience, including leadership or lead experience.
Experience using ERP and Warehouse Management Systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of inventory management principles, cycle counting, and inventory accuracy processes.
Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification, with experience operating material handling equipment.
Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently on an overnight shift.
