HR & Recruitment Lead (m/f/d) | Part-Time

**Location:** Remote, CET-2 to CET+2

**Hours:** Part-time, 20 hours per week, ideally spread across four or five weekdays

**Start:** As soon as possible

You will own the people side of MultiBase for a small, international consulting team. Your primary focus is making sure colleagues feel heard, supported and clear about their development. Recruitment is a secondary responsibility when hiring needs arise.

This is a hands-on standalone role with no direct reports, reporting directly to the management.

MultiBase is a specialist business intelligence and analytics consultancy, founded in 1991. We work with mid-sized companies across Germany, Austria and Switzerland to turn data into profit. MultiBase has delivered more than 1,500 projects for over 400 clients.

We are around 20 people, working remotely across Germany, Romania, India, Brazil, Pakistan and South Africa. English is our working language. We are building an AI-accelerated consulting business with its own products.

## Tasks

**Your role**

You will create a consistent people rhythm for the team: regular contact, development conversations, onboarding, goals and skills records. You will spot issues early, listen well and bring senior management practical recommendations.

When we hire, you will run a reliable recruitment process and give candidates a professional experience. You work independently within agreed criteria and bring senior management a clear recommendation when approval is required.

**People management and development**

• Build regular contact with the team and provide a trusted, discreet point of contact.
• Run quarterly development conversations, independently or with the management.
• Make sure every colleague has clear, current goals in Sage HR and a current skills record in MuchSkills.
• Own the new-starter experience so that each remote joiner has a strong start
• Identify people issues early and bring management a practical recommendation.
• Make sure agreed actions, development commitments and important conversations are properly documented.

**Recruitment**

• Own approved searches from vacancy brief to signed contract when hiring is required.
• Write and publish adverts, manage applications, screen candidates and hold structured first conversations.
• Run the hiring process: application, culture test, case study and interview with management.
• Coordinate external recruiters where needed and keep each search moving.
• Give every candidate a meaningful update within two working days after each stage.
• Decide early-stage progression and rejections within agreed criteria.

**How you will work with our German office team**

You own people management, candidate communication, development rhythm, onboarding experience, employee contact, goals and skills records.

Our backoffice owns personnel administration, employment-contract administration, payroll inputs, absence records, local compliance and coordination with external counsel. You coordinate each new starter's onboarding together.

AI and automation will reduce routine administration. You remain accountable for quality, confidentiality and sound judgement in people matters.

## Requirements

**What you bring**

• At least three years in HR, recruitment or people operations, ideally in a small company, scale-up or agency.
• Experience holding development conversations and building trusted relationships with colleagues.
• Proven experience running recruitment processes: screening, structured first conversations, candidate communication and pipeline management.
• Strong organisation and documentation discipline.
• Sound judgement with confidential employee and candidate information.
• Cross-cultural awareness and **fluent business English**, written and spoken. This is essential.
• Practical daily use of AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude, with careful review of outputs.
• A reliable remote setup and at least three to four working hours of overlap with Central European working hours.
• Residence between CET-2 and CET+2, with the right to work in your country of residence.

**Useful, but not required:** German proficiency. If candidates are equally strong overall, German capability is an advantage. Experience hiring data, BI or software professionals. Experience with Sage HR, MuchSkills or similar tools. Experience in a distributed international team.

**What success looks like**

**After 3 months:** You know every team member's role, goals and current development commitments. The quarterly review cycle has a clear date, owner and template. New joiners have a consistent and positive first-two-week experience.

**After 6 months:** Goals and skills records are current. Team members know where to raise concerns and development needs. When a search is active, candidates get clear answers within days and the process moves without senior management chasing it.
