Description
Work Arrangement: Hybrid initially, transitioning to full-time in-office
Employment Type: Full-Time
- Manage job postings and source candidates through various recruitment platforms.
- Review and screen resumes based on job requirements.
- Conduct initial candidate screening calls.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Prepare offer letters and employment documentation.
- Assist with reference checks and pre-employment requirements.
- Maintain candidate records and recruitment trackers.
- Coordinate with staffing agencies and external recruiters when required.
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Prepare employment letters, agreements, amendments, and other HR documents.
- Assist with employee benefits administration.
- Track vacation, leaves, attendance, and other employee information.
- Respond to general employee HR questions and requests.
- Support HR policies, procedures, and internal communications.
- Assist management with employee relations and HR administrative matters.
- Help ensure HR processes and documentation are consistent with company policies and applicable Ontario employment requirements.
- Provide general administrative support to management and the team.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical files.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, and internal appointments.
- Prepare documents, spreadsheets, reports, and correspondence.
- Assist with office coordination and day-to-day administrative activities.
- Assist with basic administrative/finance-related tasks when needed.
- Take on additional administrative duties based on business needs.
- Previous experience in HR, recruitment, office administration, or a similar role.
- Experience recruiting and screening candidates is strongly preferred.
- Good understanding of general HR practices and employment documentation.
- Familiarity with Ontario employment standards and HR practices is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable handling confidential employee and company information.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Professional, dependable, and comfortable working directly with employees and management.
