Job Description
As a Armed Security Officer - Morning Building Patrol in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and government locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and provide exceptional customer service. - Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, shoppers, employees, and government personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of retail, mall, government facility, parking, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and screen or verify authorized visitors, contractors, deliveries, and employees in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate observations or concerns to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
