Head of Operations

As Head of Operations, you are responsible for the overall performance of our Daloa production site. You will oversee all industrial and field operations, from cocoa pulp collection through juice production, ensuring operational excellence, safety, quality and profitability. You will lead the heads of the different departments and ensure the effective execution of the operational strategy

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Team Management

• Manage the heads of Production, Logistics, Quality, Finance and Administration
• Supervise more than 50 employees across the factory and field operations
• Define operational priorities
• Develop team capabilities
• Foster a culture of accountability, performance and continuous improvement
• Support the recruitment and onboarding of new employees

Operations Management

• Supervise production activities
• Optimize workflows
• Identify operational issues
• Implement the necessary corrective actions
• Ensure the availability of equipment and resources

Industrial Performance

• Achieve production targets
• Improve productivity
• Reduce operating costs
• Optimize yields
• Reduce losses
• Ensure quality standards are met
• Ensure production deadlines are met

Health, Safety and Quality (HSE)

• Implementing HSE procedures
• Team safety
• Compliance with hygiene standards.
• Product compliance

Finance Management

• Monitoring operating budgets
• Controlling expenditure
• Optimizing costs
• Ensuring efficient use of resource

Partner Relations

• Maintain constructive relationships with cooperatives, farmers, suppliers, technical partners, local authorities when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

• Master's degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain, Agri-food, Operations Management, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in an industrial or agri-food environment.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in agricultural processing is a major asset.
