About the Role
The Finance Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring complete and accurate day-to-day financial transaction processing, compliance with local statutory requirements and IFRS, and timely submission of local and group reporting.This role will also oversee Tax Compliance, intercompany transaction, fixed asset accounting, vendor payment, account reconciliation and while proactively providing financial insight to the FC and DFA/CFO.
1. Financial Operations and Transaction Integrity (40%)
Ensure all day-to-day finance transactions are recorded accurately, completely, and on a timely basis within accounting system.
Maintain strong internal controls over transaction processing, including approvals, segregation of duties, and supporting documentation.
Review key accounting areas such as revenue recognition (where applicable), accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, provisions, and intercompany transactions to ensure completeness, accuracy and consistency.
Ensure compliance with Group requirement and local statutory accounting standards, including appropriate accounting treatments and documentation.
Lead the resolution of operational accounting issues, including investigation of variances, suspense accounts, posting errors, and un-reconciliation items (if any).
2. Period-End Close and Reporting (Local and Group) (35%)
Manage and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to meet local and group timelines.
Prepare management reporting materials, and provide insight on the movement of the key accounts
Ensure timely and accurate submission of local statutory reporting and group reporting packages, including required schedules, templates, and disclosures.
Review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring completeness, quality of evidence, and prompt resolution of reconciling items.
Coordinate with GFS, local operations, and group finance teams to ensure alignment on reporting requirements and deadlines.
Support external audit processes by preparing schedules, responding to queries, and ensuring documentation is ready for audit.
3. Governance and controls (15%)
Controls, Process Improvement, and Stakeholder Management
Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls, and reporting efficiency, including automation and standardization.
Support in developing and maintain SOPs and process documentation for key finance operations and reporting activities.
Ensure compliance with company policies, delegation of authority, and governance requirements.
Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners, including auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulators.
Support finance transformation initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement culture within the finance team.
Coordinate group-wide control activities, including ICFR, BCP, Internal Audit Risk and Compliance
4. Other Duties (10%)
Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Financial Controller.
