Job Purpose
The Head of Operations, Contenta will be responsible for building and running the operating cadence for the Contenta business. The role will ensure that business priorities are translated into executable plans, that cross-functional teams are aligned, and that key customer, product, delivery, and partner commitments are actively managed.
The successful candidate will act as the operational backbone of the business, creating clarity around priorities, ownership, risks, dependencies, decisions, and follow-through. They will work closely with the President & GM and senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Services, Customer Success, Sales, Finance, Marketing, and partner organizations.
The role requires someone who can create structure without bureaucracy, challenge constructively across functions, understand enterprise software execution, and bring commercial judgment to operational decision-making.
Job Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business operations and drive execution against strategic priorities.
- Establish and manage effective operating rhythms, governance, and performance tracking.
- Align Product, Engineering, Services, Customer Success, Sales, Finance, and Marketing to deliver business outcomes.
- Oversee delivery of strategic customer programmes, ensuring commitments are met and risks are proactively managed.
- Drive operational excellence across product releases, implementations, cloud migrations, and customer deployments.
- Improve visibility of priorities, dependencies, resources, risks, and escalations across the business.
- Manage partner and ecosystem operations to support customer delivery and business growth.
- Support executive decision-making through business planning, performance reviews, investment cases, and operational insights.
- Develop scalable processes and operating models that enable growth, efficiency, and customer success.
- Act as a trusted partner to the President & GM, increasing leadership effectiveness and organisational alignment.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience in a complex B2B enterprise software environment, ideally with mission-critical customers, regulated industries, defense, aerospace, technical content, enterprise content platforms, or cloud transformation.
Required experience includes:
- Senior experience in software business operations, product operations, delivery operations, professional services operations, or a comparable operating leadership role.
- Proven ability to drive execution across Product, Engineering, Services, Customer Success, Sales, Finance, and Marketing.
- Experience operating in complex enterprise software businesses with long sales cycles, strategic accounts, and high delivery expectations.
- Strong program and operating cadence discipline.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, and cross-functional tension.
- Experience supporting executive-level business reviews, transformation initiatives, investment cases, or strategic planning.
- Strong commercial judgment, including understanding of revenue, margin, renewals, services delivery, customer success, and resource allocation.
- Ability to work credibly with senior executives, operational leaders, customers, and external partners.
Preferred, but not mandatory:
- Aerospace & Defense software experience.
- Experience with technical publications, S1000D, IETM/IETP, CSDB, XML, structured content, or content lifecycle systems.
- Experience with private cloud, on-premise enterprise software, SaaS transition, or hybrid deployment models.
- Experience supporting acquisition diligence, carve-outs, integration planning, or strategic investment cases.
- Experience working with defense primes, government agencies, civil aviation customers, or regulated enterprise customers.
- Experience managing white-labeled, partner-dependent, or ecosystem-based product offerings.
- Familiarity with security, compliance, export control, or defense customer operating requirements.

Base Pay
$143,000 - $194,000 / year
Actual rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to: position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
