Position Summary:

The Admissions Work Study supports the admissions team and prospective students in the engaging, flexible, and effective execution of enrollment activities.  This position helps execute outreach events, manage key student data, and create social media content; reinforces strong communication and customer service practices, and assists counselors with prospective student engagement under team direction.

• Provide outreach based on reports and tasks assigned to you by the Senior Associate Director of Admissions.
• Answer the questions of prospective students about the admissions process. 
• Reach out to prospective students and invite them to apply to the school. 
• Enter essential test scores, health records and placement data in our database. 
• Provide event support for Admissions events (i.e. Discovery Days, Enrollment Weeks, etc.). 
• Support creative social media campaigns and routine website updated to drive attention to Franklin Cummings Tech. 
• Do other projects, as needed. 

The College Work-Study Program provides jobs for students with financial need. This program is a subsidized student employment program designed to assist students in financing their post-secondary education. Students earn money according to the hours worked and these funds help pay their educational expenses. In order to be eligible for Work-Study, students must document financial need every year by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Work-study is a need based award that cannot be awarded to a student if the award combined with other resources would exceed the student’s need. Students are awarded funds based on their financial need but are only paid for hours worked. Any unearned funds at the end of the program term are forfeited. Students applying for this work-study position are not guaranteed a position. Work-study earnings are not paid in advance so they cannot be used to pay the direct costs (tuition, books, etc.) of the semester in which they are awarded.

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled student at Franklin Cummings Tech
• Must maintain good academic standing (a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or above).
• Must complete the entire Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
• Must demonstrate financial need and indicate your interest in the work-study program
• Must be currently enrolled in enough credit hours at Benjamin Franklin Cummings
• Institute of Technology to qualify for the Federal work-study program.
• Comfortable speaking with prospective students via phone, text, or email
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and organized
• Comfortable learning and using databases, spreadsheets, and basic digital tools
• Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) is a plus
• Work a minimum of 1 day a week on-campus
• Positive attitude, team-oriented, and excited to promote Franklin Cummings Tech

Students are required to work 10 hours a semester in a capacity that serves the community or supports literacy.

• Technical proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and other common office tools

The hourly wage for this position is $17.00 hourly.
