Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Employee Benefits Account Manager (EBAM) to join a team. This role is pivotal in managing a diverse book of self-funded accounts, ranging from 100 to 5,000 employees. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in unbundled self-funded benefits, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to manage accounts throughout their full lifecycle. This is a full-time, in-office position requiring a proactive professional who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 annually
- Benefits: 100% employer-paid health benefits
- Work Schedule: Full-time, in-office, Monday through Friday
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of self-funded employee benefits accounts, ensuring exceptional service and client satisfaction.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of accounts, including quoting new and renewal business, open enrollment, and ongoing account management.
- Provide detailed analysis and recommendations to clients regarding their benefits plans.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of client needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Suite and Employee Navigator to manage accounts effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: Active Life & Health (L&H) license required.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in employee benefits account management, with a strong focus on unbundled self-funded accounts.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word) is required; experience with Employee Navigator is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to stay on top of tasks.
- Sales acumen is a bonus.
