Position Summary
The Key Accounts Manager – Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) will be responsible for developing and managing strategic accounts for peritoneal dialysis products and services across South Manila and South Luzon. The role focuses on building strong relationships with nephrologists, hospitals, dialysis centers, government institutions, procurement teams, and other key healthcare stakeholders to increase PD adoption, patient enrollment, and sustainable account growth.
Key Responsibilities
Key Account Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key hospitals, nephrologists, dialysis centers, and healthcare institutions.
- Identify high-potential accounts and develop account-specific business plans.
- Understand each account’s PD patient volume, treatment capacity, physician preferences, procurement process, and competitive landscape.
- Conduct regular account reviews and monitor sales performance.
Peritoneal Dialysis Business Development
- Develop strategies to increase PD patient starts and retention.
- Identify suitable hospitals and dialysis centers for PD program development.
- Work closely with nephrologists and renal care teams to promote appropriate PD adoption.
- Support the establishment and expansion of hospital-based PD programs.
- Identify opportunities for home-based PD programs and patient education initiatives.
Physician & Healthcare Professional Engagement
- Build productive relationships with nephrologists, nurses, renal coordinators, pharmacists, and hospital administrators.
- Conduct product presentations, clinical discussions, and educational activities in coordination with the medical/clinical team.
- Monitor physician and institutional feedback regarding PD products and services.
Hospital & Institutional Accounts
Manage relationships with:
- Private hospitals
- Government hospitals
- Dialysis centers
- Nephrology groups
- HMO/insurance organizations
- PhilHealth-related stakeholders
- Local government healthcare institutions
- Participate in hospital negotiations, tenders, accreditation requirements, and institutional purchasing processes where applicable.
Territory Development
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of PD opportunities throughout South Manila and South Luzon, including areas such as:
- Parañaque, Las Pinas, Muntinlupa, Pasig, Makati, Manila, Taguig, Pateros and Calabarzon,
- Bicol Region plus Mimaropa
Other assigned South Luzon territories
- Map nephrologists, hospitals, dialysis centers, and existing PD programs.
- Identify underserved areas with potential for PD expansion
Sales & Business Performance
- Achieve assigned sales, revenue, market-share, and patient-growth targets.
- Prepare monthly forecasts and territory business reviews.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, product launches, and market developments.
- Develop strategies to win new accounts and protect existing business.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with:
- Medical/Clinical team
- Marketing

- Supply chain
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Nursing, Pharmacy, Medical Technology, or another healthcare-related field.
Experience
- 3–5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, dialysis, renal care, or healthcare sales.
- Experience managing hospital/key accounts is strongly preferred.
- Experience in peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, renal care, or nephrology is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of the Philippine healthcare market.
- Knowledge of PD vs. HD treatment pathways.
- Strong relationships with hospitals and healthcare professionals.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Commercial and analytical mindset.
- Strong territory planning and account-management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout South Manila and South Luzon.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is commercially driven but clinically credible—someone who can speak comfortably with a nephrologist about PD while also negotiating effectively with hospital administrators and procurement officers.
A particularly strong candidate would have existing relationships with nephrologists and renal departments in South Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and nearby South Luzon areas, and understand how PhilHealth, hospital procurement, and dialysis-center economics influence PD adoption.
