We are looking for a hands-on Accounts professional to join our Finance team on a 6-month contract. The role will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting activities, preparing and reviewing balance sheet schedules, revenue calculations, reconciliations, resolution of aged and open items and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
This is an execution-focused role suited for someone with strong accounting fundamentals who can independently manage routine accounting activities and work closely with the wider Finance team and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Prepare, maintain, and review balance sheet accounts, schedules and reconciliations with a focus on resolution of aged and open items.
- Support revenue calculation, recognition, and reconciliation as required.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as required.
- Perform TDS and GST reconciliations.
- Track outstanding items and follow up with relevant stakeholders for timely resolution.
- Assist with preparation of financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and maintained in line with company processes.
- Support internal and external audit requirements by providing relevant schedules and documentation.
- Identify discrepancies or unusual transactions and work with the Finance team to resolve them.
- Perform other day-to-day accounting and finance activities as required.
What We’re Looking For
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance operations.
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles and financial statements.
- Hands-on experience with balance sheet reconciliations, revenue accounting and journal entries.
- Good understanding of debit/credit, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets.
- Experience working with accounting/ERP systems.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and follow through on open items.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA Inter / CA Intermediate qualification is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
Contract Details
This is a 6-month contract position, with the requirement focused primarily on hands-on accounting support and timely completion of day-to-day and other assigned finance activities.
