Position: Accounts Clerk

Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Clerk to join our team in Durban North, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the finance department and ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile invoices, payments, and expenses
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable and receivable records
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Monitor and manage accounts to ensure timely payments and collections
- Prepare financial reports and statements as needed
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve any billing or payment discrepancies
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as an Accounts Clerk or similar role
- Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred
Contract Details:
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Durban North, South Africa. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
