Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Clerk to join our team in Cape Town, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with various accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Prepare and submit invoices to clients
• Monitor and track payments and follow up on outstanding balances
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Prepare and maintain financial reports
• Maintain and update vendor and customer records
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Support other accounting and administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Accounts Clerk or similar role
• Proficient in MS Office and accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Diploma or degree in Accounting or related field
• Knowledge of South African tax laws and regulations is a plus

Contract Details:

This is a full-time position based in Cape Town, South Africa. The working hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
