We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist I, Supply Chain to join our dynamic team at Canadian Solar. This role is crucial in optimizing our supply chain processes and ensuring the efficient flow of materials and products from suppliers to customers.
The Specialist I will play a key role in managing inventory, improving supply chain performance, and supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality solar products.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Management: Oversee and manage supply chain activities, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products.
Vendor Coordination: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Collaborate with them to negotiate terms, resolve issues, and ensure the quality and reliability of supplies.
Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, analyze trends, and implement strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and minimize stockouts.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
Data Analysis: Analyze supply chain data to track performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights to management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, quality assurance, and sales, to ensure alignment and address any supply chain-related issues.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices related to supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., APICS, CPM) is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management or a related field, preferably in the renewable energy or manufacturing industry.
Skills:
Strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
Proficient in supply chain management software and tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
