Description
We are seeking a skilled 1st Shift CNC Milling Machinist / Programmer to join our team on a
direct-hire basis. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating
CNC milling machines using CAD to CAM software to manufacture high-precision components.
Experience working in a toolroom environment is a strong plus.

Responsibilities Include
- Program, set up, and operate 3, 4, or 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce precision
- parts according to engineering blueprints and specifications.
- Utilize CAD to CAM software to generate, edit, and optimize CNC G-code and M-code
- programs.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and work-holding fixtures for each job.
- Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring
- instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM).
- Troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and program errors on the shop floor.
- Support toolroom operations, including custom fixturing, mold/die repair, or prototype
- development (a strong plus).
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform routine preventive maintenance.
Skills / Qualifications
- Software Requirement: Proficient in CAD to CAM programming software (e.g.,
- Mastercam, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, or similar).
- Machining Expertise: Strong background in setting up and operating CNC milling
- machines.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Toolroom Experience: Toolroom background or custom prototype experience is a plus.
- Precision & Measurement: Expertise with precision inspection tools and holding tight
- tolerances.
- Problem Solving: Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
